The Virginia Asthma Coalition (VAC) is a group of organizations and individuals devoted to reducing the morbidity and mortality associated with asthma. Started in 1998 by concerned Virginians affected by asthma. The Coalition became an official 501(c)3 not-for-profit based charity organization in 2012.
The VAC is a statewide partnership to enhance the quality of life for Virginians affected by asthma.
Members actively participate in asthma work teams who focus are in the areas of education, asthma action plans, policy, data, and communication. We have quarterly face to face meetings in Richmond but much of our work is done electronically.
If you are a person interested in helping to make a difference for those affected by asthma in the state of Virginia contact our Chair Stuart Tousman.
